Matthew Mugno

I am Matthew Mugno, a Quinnipiac University alumni with a bachelor in fine arts degree in Film, Television, and Media Arts.

The New York Rangers 2012 season drew me into the world of hockey. I played for the Montclair Blues AA club and for my high school and began PTCS in 2015 with Steve.

At Quinnipiac University I was a multimedia producer, writer, and play-by-play broadcaster for QBSN’s radio station calling M/W soccer, women’s lacrosse, and M/W ice hockey games. I was also a beat reporter for the Men’s Ice Hockey Team for the 2022-2023 season for Q30 TV.

I had the privilege of calling the Men’s Ice Hockey Frozen Four and National Championship for our student radio, the video used on Bill Pidto’s MSG 150.

I currently write for Fansided’s  Blue Line Station New York Rangers blog pursuing a career in the ice hockey world.

Steven Murno

I am Steven Murno, a current senior at Manhattan College. In 2024, I will be graduating with a major in Healthcare Administration/Management and a minor in Communications.

Among the countless thrilling moments I've experienced as a Rangers fan, one stands out the most - the 2015 playoffs against the Washington Capitals. We were down 3-1 in the series, and just when it seemed like all hope was lost, Kreider starts a comeback by tying the game with less than a minute left, eventually coming back on the brink of elimination and winning the series in 7 games.

In 2015, my passion for broadcasting took flight when I started Pucktalk alongside Matt. This venture allowed us to share our love for hockey with the world and connect with fellow fans in ways we had never imagined.

Throughout our journey, Matt and I have had the opportunity to work on various projects together, exploring our creative sides by writing and directing many projects. However, none of these projects have been as near and dear to us as Pucktalkcs - a passion project that has been eight years in the making.

PUCKTALKCS

Founded in May of 2015 by Matthew Mugno and Steven Murno, PucktalkCS has been a labor of love driven by two friends who share an immense passion for the sport of hockey. Our journey began with a simple yet powerful idea - to provide viewers with high-quality content that captures the essence of the game and brings joy to fans everywhere. Our vision has always been centered around delivering engaging episodes filled with in-depth analysis of the current state of the team and the sport as a whole.

Over the years, Pucktalkcs has evolved and grown. From 2015 to 2022, we covered the entire NHL, keeping fans informed and entertained through our podcast and website. During this time, we also dabbled in covering other sports like football and baseball between 2017 and 2019, expanding our horizons while staying true to our core values.

In 2020, Pucktalkcs took a brief hiatus as the creators Matthew and Steven ventured into the world of filmmaking, writing, and directing a full-length film. This artistic endeavor only fueled their passion for hockey and storytelling, making their return for Season 4 on January 10th, 2022 all the more special.

In 2023, we decided to focus solely on our die-hard passion for the Rangers, making our podcast an all-inclusive hub for NY Rangers hockey fans. By honing in on the team closest to our hearts, we aim to provide even deeper insights, expert analysis, and unwavering support for the Blueshirts.

Throughout our journey, Pucktalkcs has been fortunate to welcome many special guests. Their valuable contributions have enriched our content and allowed us to forge stronger connections with our audience.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our listeners and supporters who have been a part of our hockey-loving community. Pucktalkcs is not just a brand; it's a celebration of hockey and the enduring spirit of fandom. As we move forward, our dedication remains unwavering, and we promise to continue delivering top-notch content that resonates with fans and celebrates the sport we cherish.

Thank you for being a part of Pucktalkcs - And Always Remember, It’s Just the Luck of the Puck!
